Kayhan Kalhor's arrival in Paris at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord on October 31, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. is a landmark event. Considered one of the greatest Iranian musicians of our time and one of the most influential figures in contemporary Persian music, this undisputed master of the kamancheh has carried his art to the world's greatest stages while profoundly renewing this millennial tradition.
He reunites with another great explorer-musician, Kiya Tabassian, today recognized as the ambassador of the Persian setar, for an exceptional encounter devoted to dialogue and improvisation. An ancient art in constant evolution, Persian music unfolds here all its expressive richness through an intimate format bringing together two emblematic instruments of this tradition: Kayhan Kalhor's kamancheh and Kiya Tabassian's setar.
Long-time collaborators, the two virtuosi share a common passion for exploring Persian repertoires and for creating new spaces where tradition and invention meet.
