Aretha Franklin: Queen of Soul brings to Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on November 18, 2026, a tribute in which the Metropole Orchestra and Sheléa together place the timeless power of Aretha's repertoire at the center. Not imitation, but a live reinterpretation of songs that have forever defined soul and pop, carried by lush arrangements and space for pure emotion.
Metropole Orchestra, since 1945 a mainstay between big band and symphonic orchestra, knows better than anyone how to let jazz, pop and cinematic colors merge. Their sound shifts effortlessly from grand and layered to intimate and direct, ideal to give classics new weight without smoothing them over.
Sheléa, a singer and pianist from Phoenix who blends soul, gospel and jazz with modern R&B, takes the vocal lead. Known for her powerful voice and her sense for nuance, she moves between ballads and uptempo with the same ease. Together with the orchestra she places Aretha's catalog in a broad, orchestral setting that lets the songs breathe.
