Acid Arab

On 12 March 2027 at La Condition Publique in Roubaix, Acid Arab unfolds its singular sonic territory, conceived for both the stage and the club. Born in the Paris of clubs and cultural exchanges, the collective brings drum machines, acid synths and electronic textures into dialogue with the modes, voices and percussion of the Arab world, the Middle East, North Africa and the Mediterranean. Since their earliest releases and through the albums Musique de France, Jdid and Trois, their aesthetic has been refined: a precise, physical electronic sound, traversed by trance, where popular singing and traditional melodies find a natural place.

On stage, Acid Arab cultivates the art of encounter. The group has built a network of vocalists and instrumentalists who continually shift its contours: the recurring presence of Sofiane Saidi, exchanges with Yasmine Hamdan, Wael Alkak or Ghizlane Melih, bridges opened with Cem Yildiz and Turkish traditions, and not least Cheba Ibtissem, Ghita Lahmamassi, Radia Manel, Zeina Aftimos, Dalia, Rita L’Oujdia and Cheikha Hadjla. This vocal cartography feeds a taut, hypnotic live show, crafted to unite diverse audiences. With Resonance, their new cycle pushes this shared language even further, thickening the work on textures and voices without losing the thread: a music of dance, rootedness and movement that makes cultures resonate rather than merely illustrate them.
