Adèle Castillon continues solo what she began with Videoclub: French-language pop at the crossroads of ’80s synths and intimate songwriting. Her songs tell of a first breakup, emotional dependency and states of longing with plain frankness. In the studio with Surkin, she refines a clear, undulating sound between vintage keyboards, electronic textures and direct choruses.
Coming from video and cinema as much as from music, she has kept a taste for images and short narratives, which she transforms into songs that are both melancholic and catchy. On stage, her voice remains direct, the rhythms gain breadth without excess, and the tension builds gradually. You can hear the new wave legacy, but also a contemporary curiosity that freely draws on pop.
Adèle Castillon will be at the Splendid in Lille on 21 January 2027 to present this solo repertoire and the electro-pop style that continues the adventure she began with Videoclub.
