Kurt Rosenwinkel

Kurt Rosenwinkel is both an instrumentalist, composer and bandleader. For more than thirty years he has been active on the contemporary music scene. An American multi-instrumentalist, he drew attention upon his arrival in New York in 1991 and has since developed a distinctive personal style.

Internationally recognized, he has released fifteen albums as a leader. He has left his mark on modern jazz guitar with lyrical phrasing, sophisticated harmonies and a recognizable tone. His music blends jazz, rock, ambient and classical influences. Among his leader albums are The Next Step, Deep Song and Star of Jupiter. Throughout his career Kurt Rosenwinkel has released numerous records and collaborated with Joe Henderson, Paul Motian, Brad Mehldau and Eric Clapton. On stage he performs in clubs and at international festivals.

The Remedy Reunion Tour brings together the lineup from the album The Remedy. The album is characterized by the musicians’ interaction, its melodies and improvisation. For the first time in nearly twenty years, the full band is reuniting to perform this music live again.
