Amble

Amble, an Irish trio from the current folk scene, brings its pared-down songs and close harmonies to the Plaza Club, Badenerstrasse 109, 8004 Zurich, on 14 February 2027. At the centre are voices and guitars: clear multi-part harmonies, spare arrangements and mostly moderate tempos. This leaves room for lyrics that address relationships, vulnerability and everyday life without detours. Musically, Amble moves between contemporary folk, indie-folk and intimate songwriting. The pieces rely on simple structures and catchy melodies, carried by a warm acoustic aesthetic that nods to folk tradition while remaining rooted in the present.

What counts live is closeness: a light setup, strong focus on the voices and small dynamic tensions that emerge in the details. The songs work both in quiet listening and in direct contact with the audience and unfold their effect without superfluous embellishments.
