David Walters

On December 10, 2026, David Walters will take over the New Morning in Paris. A French-Caribbean singer and multi-instrumentalist, he has been weaving a Creole electro sound since his beginnings, blending beats, acoustic guitars and vocals in French, English and Creole. From Marseille, his home base, he combines afrobeat, kompa, hip-hop and folk to craft nomadic songs. With Soleil Kréyol, released in 2020, he refined a repertoire that draws on Caribbean traditions while maintaining a link to club culture.

On stage, Walters alternates between machines, percussion, keyboards and strings, with an energy that invites both dancing and attentive listening. Expect to hear “Kité Koulé,” the lead single from his upcoming album Ti Love — a track recorded as a duet on record with Keziah Jones — carried by a supple groove and the figure of Manman Dlo, goddess of the oceans, a symbol of memory and healing. A live show to let yourself be swept away by his electro-Creole vibrations, between rhythmic pulses and more stripped-back moments.
