Info
On December 11, 2026, David Walters takes the stage at the New Morning in Paris. A Franco‑Caribbean musician based in Marseille, he brings together electronic beats and acoustic folk with Afro‑Caribbean influences. On stage his voice moves between French, English and Creole, carried by guitars, percussion and machines, tracing a path through afrobeat, kompa, hip‑hop and Caribbean traditions. Spotted by France Inter, Fip, Nova and Gilles Peterson, he consolidated his signature with Soleil Kréyol in 2020, asserting a more acoustic and organic approach that never severs its connection to club culture.
As a preview of his forthcoming album Ti Love, due in early 2026, the single Kité Koulé—recorded with guitarist‑singer Keziah Jones—unfolds a wide groove and a more spiritual dimension, a nod to Manman Dlo, the ocean figure of Caribbean imagination. At the New Morning, David Walters weaves an electro‑Creole set in which pulses, strings and voices answer one another, alternating between collective energy and more intimate moments.
