A singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Canada, Ora Cogan shapes a haunted folk where psych rock and a chiaroscuro country mingle. Her album Hard Hearted Woman condenses this alchemy: songs like rituals, guided by instinct, born on the sharp edges of everyday life. Shaken by the present world, Cogan gathered a close circle of musicians to craft pieces that seek catharsis without forcing it, favoring curiosity over a contrived gloom. On stage, a voice close to the surface, weightless guitars and muted pulses build an uneasy but alive atmosphere.
Born in Limerick and a fixture of Cork’s DIY scene, Elaine Malone weaves between psych-rock, dark folk, shoegaze textures and a subtle country heritage. A multi-instrumentalist, she constructs her pieces with guitar, bass, percussion and harmonium, in slow, enveloping architectures punctuated by rougher eruptions. Since her EP Land (2018), she has widened her spectrum toward a more expansive psych sound without abandoning Irish indie craftsmanship. Solo, she seeks a balance between storytelling, electric tension and sonic space, allowing songs the time to settle before they split into contained bursts.
