Info
Embrace return to Leeds on 13 November 2026 at O2 Academy Leeds. Born in Bailiff Bridge in the early 1990s, the band formed around brothers Danny and Richard McNamara, later joined by Steve Firth, Mike Heaton and Mickey Dale. They first broke through at the tail end of britpop with a melodic, guitar‑driven sound shaped by keyboards and a tense, heartfelt vocal style. Early singles All You Good Good People, Fireworks and One Big Family led to the debut The Good Will Out in 1998, followed by Drawn from Memory in 2000 and If You’ve Never Been in 2001, where the writing leaned more inward. The group returned in 2004 with Out of Nothing, featuring Gravity, written by Chris Martin, then This New Day in 2006. After a pause, Embrace picked up again with Embrace in 2014, Love Is a Basic Need in 2018 and How to Be a Person Like Other People in 2022. On stage, expect a set that spans these chapters, from early anthems to later, more reflective cuts, carried by the melodic rock identity that has defined them.
