Info
Marillion bring their singular take on British progressive rock to Usher Hall, Edinburgh, on 29 September 2026. Formed at the tail end of the 1970s, the band first broke through in the early 80s with Fish and a taste for narrative drama on Script for a Jester’s Tear, Fugazi and Misplaced Childhood. With Steve Hogarth on vocals since 1989, the music leans more introspective and atmospheric, as heard on Seasons End and Brave. The long-running core of Steve Rothery, Mark Kelly, Pete Trewavas and Ian Mosley, aux côtés de Hogarth, anchors a live set that croises pièces au long cours, mélodies claires et textures ambient. Albums like Marbles, F E A R and An Hour Before It’s Dark prolongent cette écriture à thèmes, pensée pour la scène.
British band Haunt the Woods opens the night with their own material, a contemporary counterpoint that pairs naturally with Marillion’s taste for storytelling and dynamics, setting the tone before the headliners unfold their extended pieces.
