Del Amitri

Del Amitri bring their sharp, melodic rock to O2 Academy Bournemouth on 21 November 2026. Formed in Glasgow in 1980 around singer-bassist and songwriter Justin Currie, the band forged a balance of chiming guitars and plain-spoken lyrics, with Iain Harvie’s guitar work anchoring songs that move between pop rock, jangle and a rougher alternative feel. That sound took shape on Waking Hours (1989) and Change Everything (1992), then Twisted (1995) and Some Other Sucker’s Parade (1997), with tracks like Nothing Ever Happens, Kiss This Thing Goodbye, Always the Last to Know and Roll to Me marking their path on both sides of the Atlantic.

After Can You Do Me Good? in 2002, Del Amitri stepped back before returning to the road in 2013 and to the studio with Fatal Mistakes in 2021. On stage today, Currie, Harvie, Andy Alston, Ash Soan and Kris Dollimore revisit a catalogue built on tight melodies and a wry, melancholic streak, blending recent material with the songs that first carried them from Glasgow’s clubs to larger rooms.
