Devin Townsend returns to Paris on 22 September 2026 at the Bataclan with Metamorphosis, a solo-format tour conceived as a new beginning. A leading figure in progressive metal and a versatile multi-instrumentalist, the Canadian has spent three decades moving between extreme metal, orchestrated rock, ambient and rough-edged pop. After premiering the live version of The Moth worldwide and then announcing a touring hiatus in 2025, he is back on stage with the desire to tell his story differently, in a more direct setup.

On the bill is a fluid setlist that changes from night to night and draws on his 31 studio albums and numerous projects: Strapping Young Lad and its industrial dimension, Devin Townsend Project with its melodic architectures, the hushed atmospheres of Casualties of Cool, the irony of Punky Brüster, and not forgetting his solo records. Between soaring vocals, layered textures and solid riffs, Townsend assembles in real time the pieces of his universe, with The Moth as a backdrop and through-line for a new chapter. It is an opportunity to see him unfiltered, up close to his songwriting and his metamorphoses.
