Prewn

Minneapolis outfit Prewn brings its indie rock to The Grand Social in Dublin on 26 August 2026. Led by singer, songwriter and guitarist Lily Konigsberg, also known from Palberta, the band folds a lo-fi, alternative edge into songs that stay direct and restless. Guitars bite and pull back, rhythms turn angular, vocals keep a melodic line while the mood leans between close-up intimacy and a more abrasive push. Their first album, System (2023), set the tone: tracks that slip from fragile ballads into detours that bend tempo and dynamics without losing grip. On stage, Prewn comes from a DIY network of independent rooms and small festivals around the Great Lakes, and that sense of proximity stays in the performance. Lyrics look inward, motifs loop and return, and the melodies sit slightly off-center, extending Konigsberg’s experiments while holding a distinct group identity. Their set often plays on tension and release, with small details and sharp turns.
