ADE Opening Concert presents KYBBA together with the Metropole Orkest and a handful of special guests on 21 October 2026 at Melkweg, Amsterdam. The DJ and producer will spread his basshall — a cross between dancehall, afrobeat, Caribbean influences and bass culture — into new orchestral colours. Expect reworkings of his own tracks, rhythms that swing between soundsystem and club, and arrangements that put percussion, brass and strings fully to the fore.
KYBBA, born in Salento in southern Italy and now based in Amsterdam, built a hybrid language from free parties and his label Basshall Records that carried him across stages in Europe and Latin America. In 2025 he consolidated that direction on the album How You Bad Suh and collaborated with names such as Blaiz Fayah, Konshens, Major Lazer, Diplo and Ryan Castro.
The Metropole Orkest, rooted in jazz and pop with a big-band rhythm section and a full string section, moves fluidly between cinematic atmospheres and compact grooves. With experience in bespoke arrangements and crossovers, the ensemble elevates KYBBA’s material to a broader palette, from deep low end to melodies that breathe. Special guests step in and out exactly where the energy calls for it.
