Stephan Eicher

Stephan Eicher will present his new songs in Nantes on November 7, 2026, at LAPS. Composed in quiet moments, between a piano stool and a guitar on his lap, they come together under the title Poussière d’Or. The lyrics, written by his collaborators Philippe Djian and Martin Suter, take on a rawer stage resonance here, where the melody moves forward unforced, between folk and pop, leaving room for the words.

On stage, Eicher moves from one language to another, shifting from French to German or English, and links this new collection of songs to tracks that have marked his career. The concert alternates recent pieces and handpicked returns, with flexible arrangements—sometimes stripped-back, sometimes more expansive—where guitars, keyboards and percussion outline the space without weighing it down. A direct way to share recently recorded tracks, focusing on attentive listening, subtlety and that grain in his voice that carries the stories without forcing them.
