Pony Pony Run Run

On January 20, 2027 at L’Étage in Rennes, Pony Pony Run Run returned to the stage with their blend of electropop, power pop and bright synths. Formed in the early 2000s around brothers Gaëtan and Amaël Réchin Lê Ky-Huong, the band made its mark with short, punchy songs, melodic guitars up front and vocals sung mostly in English. On this live show the duo revisited what defines them: tight, propulsive energy, catchy choruses and a back-and-forth between danceable pulses and mid-tempo interludes.

The set draws from their entire discography: the breakthrough You Need Pony Pony Run Run (2009) and its memorable “Hey You,” the eponymous, more synth-driven 2012 album, and Voyage Voyage (2016), which pushed them further toward accessible electronic pop. In a stripped-down configuration, the two brothers exploit the guitar/synth balance for a direct, stage-oriented sound, without frills. A concert that lays out their clear line: immediate melodies, precise production and a desire to carry the audience from the first to the last track.
