Flox

On May 22, 2026 at Le Ferrailleur in Nantes, Flox unfolds a stripped-down reggae at the crossroads of reggae, dub and electronic music. An Englishman based in France and brought to light by Radio Nova, a multi-instrumentalist and producer, he crafts tracks where Jamaican rhythms intersect with deep basslines, pop melodies and textures drawn from the British scene. On stage, his project appears in a tight-band lineup or sometimes solo, with songwriting focused as much on the song as on the groove. Moderate tempos, bass as a pillar, dub delays and echoes, keyboards and drum machines kept precise: the material remains warm without losing clarity. Flox draws on a repertoire nourished since the early 2000s, notably marked by Taste of Grey, to present versions that breathe, layer by layer, with a keen sense of rhythmic detail and arrangement. A clear voice, supple pulse and controlled electronics form an aesthetic where the organic and the digital are in balance.
