On May 22, 2027, Groundation brings its amplifiers to La Carrière in Saint-Herblain, for 'Tribute To Bob Marley', a live show conceived as a true concert experience rather than a simple tour of covers. Formed in the late 1990s around Harrison Stafford, the Californian collective has built its signature on an open roots reggae, threaded with jazz harmonies, long instrumental crescendos and improvisations where brass, keyboards and guitar respond to one another.
In this tribute show, Groundation revisits Marley’s heritage and the spirit of the Wailers: the roots groove, the power of the refrains, but also deeper tracks, those that leave room for breath and for variation. Stafford’s tense, inhabited voice carries the message, while the band stretches the themes, densifies the rhythms, and moves energy between collective fervor and more intimate passages. A way to connect a foundational repertoire to a reading that is very much of today.
