Stephan Eicher

Stephan Eicher returns to the stage at Chaudeau-Ludres in Ludres on November 19, 2026 with Poussière d’Or. For him, everything begins on a piano stool, when the world’s din fades, or with a guitar laid across his knees when things are moving too fast. From this withdrawal emerge harmonies and melodies that his writer friends Philippe Djian and Martin Suter put into words. First shared in a small circle, these seeds of songs were taken into the studio, replayed, reinvented and nourished by other musicians. They took shape, found a title, and then the momentum of live performance.

On stage, Eicher gathers this creative thread: the piano at the center, guitars answering, a voice that carries finely wrought texts and lets the arrangements breathe. He presents these new pieces and offers them exactly as they were conceived, at ear-and-table level, like a simple sharing. Poussière d’Or is listened to as one passes around a still-warm loaf of bread: a collective moment in which you hear how the music changes texture through the touch of hands, breaths and the audience. A concert in keeping with his craft—straightforward and unadorned.
