On 13 March 2026 at La Petite Halle de la Villette, 19th arrondissement of Paris, Julien Lourau brings his residency Soul Shelter to life. A saxophonist and pioneer of live electronic music, he takes the reins and orchestrates a live set in constant motion. Around him, he invites musicians, singers and rappers for encounters with shifting lineups: warm rhythms, synthetic textures, drifting improvisations, tense or airy passages—crafted as much for listening as for dancing. Supported by years spent blurring the lines between jazz, funk and Afro‑Latin influences, Lourau here nudges the project toward the club without relinquishing improvisation and collective interplay.
