Axel Bauer

From "Cargo," the flagship track that marked the 1980s, Axel Bauer has followed a distinct trajectory in French rock. A guitarist with a sharp style and a voice with a recognisable timbre, he has built a repertoire where taut riffs coexist with brighter melodies. His songs have accompanied several generations without losing their edge, carried by simple, direct songwriting.

With Grand 8, his new album, he explores a very organic side of his sound, between rock pulses and ballads that take their time. On stage, Bauer returns to the essentials: guitars up front, a precise rhythm section, tension and breath that answer one another. The set promises to move back and forth between classics and new material, conceived for the room and the moment, without unnecessary artifice.

Axel Bauer will be at the Casino de Paris in Paris on 3 December 2026. It is an opportunity to reconnect with a musician who reinvents himself without abandoning his foundations, and to gauge how his songs gain in depth when experienced live. An evening to listen closely to the material of Grand 8 and to let the older tracks pick up speed again.
