Harakiri for the Sky

Harakiri for the Sky will be at La Machine du Moulin Rouge in Paris on 17 April 2026 for a “Trauma 10th anniversary show” with a guest. Formed in 2011, the Austrian duo has patiently defined an identifiable post-black metal writing style, between proliferating guitar lines, rhythms alternately driving and restrained, and rough vocals that carry lyrics focused on inner turmoil, disenchantment and the human condition. Their third album, Trauma, released in 2016 on AOP Records, cemented this aesthetic with expansive tracks, hypnotic melodies and a melancholic tension that runs through the whole record. Since then the band has toured extensively across Europe, Asia and both Americas, refining their language without departing from it. This stop in Paris brings that chapter back to the forefront—an opportunity to revisit the material of Trauma and to gauge what ten years on the road and on stage have added to the way they perform these songs.
