EN BALLADE AVEC

On 3 May 2026, Hugues Aufray stops at SCENEO Longuenesse with his “En ballade avec” tour. A pioneer of French-language folk, he continues to travel the stages with the same simplicity that has accompanied him since his beginnings. With his guitar slung over his shoulder, he presents a repertoire that has accompanied several generations, alternating acoustic ballads and sing‑along choruses. On the programme are his songs that have become classics: Santiano, Céline, Adieu monsieur le professeur, Le petit âne gris, L’Épervier and Stewball. Bob Dylan’s influence is also present: Aufray popularized French adaptations of Dylan’s work as early as the 1960s.

On stage, Hugues Aufray favors the essentials: voice, strings, storytelling. He revisits his songs with the calm energy of a travelling singer and a taste for well‑told stories. More than sixty years after his first successes, he offers a moment of direct, unadorned music in which the songs are given time to breathe.
