Suzanne Vega, the New York singer-songwriter associated with the folk revival of the 1980s, returns to France with a concert that spans her different periods. The programme will include her classics, from “Luka” to the a cappella hook of “Tom’s Diner,” as well as more recent songs. She will notably present Flying with Angels, released in May 2025, her first studio album in eleven years, produced by Gerry Leonard, the long‑time guitarist and collaborator who has worked with David Bowie and Rufus Wainwright. Between spare folk, keen observations of everyday life and melodies that settle in effortlessly, Vega continues to let narrative and rhythm converse with a restraint that suits her well.
Suzanne Vega will be at the Cité des Congrès in Nantes on 5 March 2026. An evening to revisit a now‑familiar body of work and to open a new chapter with the songs from her latest album.
