Femur
“It’s been a little while since I last caught Femur live, and I’d almost forgotten just how special they are. They are, in my humble opinion, the best in the city at what they do.”
(Exposed Magazine, 2025)
Femur have been on a rampage for the past few years; 2025 saw them tipped as one to watch by BBC Introducing Leeds and Sheffield; even headlining the BBC Introducing stage at Sheffield’s Rock and Roll Circus festival. The festival season saw their first Glastonbury appearance, as well as an inaugural Tramlines main-stage slot alongside Fat White Family and Pulp. This all featured alongside their headline show at Sheffield’s Leadmill in February, and a European tour in April.
2026 was another milestone year, kicked off with Femur’s biggest sold-out show at Sheffield’s Crookes Social Club in April, part of a sprawling UK tour. The band also lit up festival stages up and down the country; a return to a packed Tramlines, alongside End of the Road and Attitude Festival.
Ever looking to the future, summer 2027 marks the release of Femur’s debut studio album, recorded in Sheffield by Ross Orton (AM, Amyl and the Sniffers, Yard Act) alongside their biggest tour to date later in the year, taking them across the UK and Europe, including another Sheffield show at the Foundry.
“This band are addictive. If you haven’t seen them yet, you need to see them, you must see them.”
