Info
On June 20, 2027, at The Anvil in Basingstoke, Jools Holland brings his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra for a night built around the piano and a big, brass-forward sound. Known since the late ’70s for mixing rhythm and blues with boogie-woogie, swing, and rock’n’roll, Holland plays fast, tight phrases that keep the groove moving while the band opens the arrangements wide, closer to a big-band feel than a classic rock lineup.
This show is the live version of what he’s been shaping for decades: a driving rhythm section, punchy horn lines, and room for the piano to lead without ever going solo for too long. Expect a set that nods to his long-running catalogue and to the roots of blues and R&B, delivered with the energy of a touring orchestra that’s made its name across the UK and Europe.
