Info
On June 28, 2027, Angine de Poitrine lands at O2 Academy Brixton in London with an instrumental set built for people who like their rock physical and their rhythms sharp. The Quebec duo, active since 2023, plays in the cracks between experimental rock, math rock and angular post-punk, with a repetitive, almost mechanical pulse that sometimes feels closer to certain techno structures than to classic band dynamics.
Their tracks are shaped by adding and removing short motifs, letting tension grow through chromatic turns, microtonal guitar and bass lines, and asymmetric patterns that keep shifting under your feet. No vocals, no frontman tricks: it’s all about movement, variation and rhythmic displacement, with tight drums and phrases that lock in, slip out, then hit again. After Vol. 1 (2024) and a fast rise on Quebec stages, this Brixton date is a chance to catch that evolving, minimal energy at full volume.
