Info
Black Marble returns to Warsaw with material fans have long awaited: Life in Small Spaces, the first album in five years from Chris Stewart's project. On April 15, 2027 at Klub MECHANIK you will hear cold-wave minimalism, the kind Black Marble became known for on the Brooklyn scene in the early 2010s, but in a refined and more direct version.
This remains that distinctive chill of synthesizers, steady rhythms, and vocals delivered sparingly, somewhat in the background, building a nocturnal, melancholic atmosphere. Stewart likes to draw on the spirit of the 1980s and influences such as New Order, OMD, and Ultravox, and from album to album he increasingly lets guitars and post-punk edginess in. Life in Small Spaces continues in this direction: synthesizer landscapes meet a sharper contour, giving the concert a chance to sound as danceable as it is raw.
