Info
On 15 October 2027 at P&J Live in Aberdeen, Texas bring their Scottish pop-rock catalog back to the stage, built on tight melodies, warm guitar lines and Sharleen Spiteri’s instantly recognizable voice. Formed in Glasgow in the mid-’80s, the band broke through with Southside and the hit “I Don’t Want a Lover”, then pushed their sound through the ’90s with albums like White on Blonde and The Hush. Expect a set that moves between big choruses and sleeker, more soulful moments, with that balance of bite and elegance that’s kept Texas on the road for decades.
Joining the bill, fellow Glaswegians Del Amitri lean into their knack for literate, slightly world-weary songwriting: chiming guitars, direct hooks, and melodies that stick without trying too hard. From Waking Hours and Change Everything through Twisted and Some Other Sucker’s Parade, their run produced staples like “Nothing Ever Happens”, “Always the Last to Know” and “Roll to Me”. It’s a pairing that makes sense: two bands with sharp pop instincts, each with its own take on Scottish rock.
