Info
On April 18, 2027, Chasing Abbey arrives at Théâtre Fairmount in Montreal with its own distinctive blend of hip-hop, pop and electronic music built to move. Born in Tullamore, Ireland, the trio of childhood friends strikes a balance between melodic vocals and more rap-driven flows, all carried by groove-forward productions and choruses that take on a new dimension live.
Having emerged in the mid-2010s through a string of self-produced tracks, and then through the single "That Good Thing," the group has continued to refine its formula between club energy and writing rooted in everyday life, relationships, and the parties of today’s Irish youth. With the EP "The Odyssey Project" and a succession of singles, Chasing Abbey pushes the needle between urban pop and melodic rap, occasionally slipping nods to the Irish tradition, as on "Oh My Johnny (Banks of the Roses)," updated for the dancefloor.
