Info
On April 6, 2027, Ruby Waters brings her Suppre$$ions North America Tour to Midway Music Hall in Edmonton, with the kind of set that lives and dies by voice, guitar, and straight-to-the-point writing. The Ontario-born, Toronto-based singer-songwriter moves between indie rock drive and alternative pop clarity, with folk and soul shading the edges rather than taking over.
Her songs tend to keep things simple on the surface: sturdy riffs, pop-shaped choruses, and rhythms that sometimes lean into a light R&B swing. But the lyrics cut closer, circling relationships, disillusionment, and rough patches in everyday language that doesn’t dress things up. Live, she can flip the same material from stripped-back, acoustic tension to a more electric band feel, always keeping that deep, husky vocal right at the center.
