Info
On April 23, 2027, deca joins lands at The Pearl in Vancouver with the kind of slow-burning set that has made the Taipei band a key name in Mandarin indie rock since 2013. Built around Zheng Jingru’s voice and guitar, with Yang Shanghua on guitar, Xie Junyan on bass, Lu Haozhao on drums and Du Zhexin on percussion, their songs move in that sweet spot between alternative rock and dream pop: soft guitars, roomy low end, steady rhythms, and a calm, almost spoken delivery that lets the melodies do the heavy lifting.
From early releases like the EP Lu Qiang to the album Bathroom, the band has shaped a nocturnal, introspective sound that keeps evolving without losing its restraint. Expect tracks from their broader later palette too, developed across Go Slow, Niao Niao Niao and the more recent EP An Liu: music for late hours, where tension comes from nuance, not volume.
