Info
On April 17, 2027, Alex Sampson lands at the Hollywood Theatre in Vancouver with the kind of pop set that lives and dies by voice, melody, and the weight of a good line. Raised between Thunder Bay and Atikokan in northwestern Ontario, he first got people listening through covers and early originals posted online, then built momentum by sharing snippets ahead of release and letting songs grow in real time with his audience.
His writing sits in that intimate, acoustic-leaning corner of contemporary pop: introspective ballads, romantic or melancholic themes, and hooks that stay simple on purpose. Live, those tracks tend to shift into a more stripped-back format, leaving space for vocals and minimal instrumentation to do the work, closer to the bedroom-pop mood than a full-band spectacle.
