Info
Celebrating 20 years in 2027, Missouri’s The Hooten Hallers have been on the road, blending blues, garage rock, country, punk, and jazz into a sound of their own. The band’s energetic live shows feature raucous jams, tight vocal harmonies, and danceable grooves.
This trio is driven by the vocal growl and swirling electric and lap steel guitars of John Randall, the powerful drumming and falsetto howl of Andy Rehm, and the baritone and bass saxophone lines of Kellie Everett. It’s Morphine meets ZZ Top mixed with a dash of George Thorogood and Tom Waits.
Emerging from nearly two decades of singalongs while racking up more than half a million miles in a van comes The Hooten Hallers’ seventh official full-length album, entitled Van Jams Vol. 1, released on 3 April 2026. This collection of songs resonated with and influenced The Hooten Hallers and spans across decades of rock, punk, country, soul, R&B, and indie, all delivered with the band’s signature sound: dueling vocals between John Randall’s powerful, gravelly lows and Andy Rehm’s high tenor, jangly electric guitar, pounding drums, and soaring bass lines on the baritone sax. The band’s wide-ranging musical tastes bring the listener on a cohesive ride and show how far this trio can push their music.
The Hooten Hallers will perform at The Cluny on 28 March 2027 at 7:30 pm.
