Info
On May 26, 2027, O2 Academy Birmingham hosts a metalcore double bill built for big riffs and sing-along choruses, with Memphis May Fire and Dead by April sharing the stage.
Memphis May Fire come from the Dallas scene with a sound that balances weight and melody: sharp, tight guitars, bursts of screams, then those clean, structured hooks that stick. Since The Hollow and Challenger, the band has kept pushing that mix of heaviness and introspection, and the more recent era around Remade in Misery leans back into a tougher, more aggressive drive without losing the anthemic side that made them a live staple.
Dead by April bring their Swedish modern-metal angle, where metalcore and post-hardcore collide with pop-leaning choruses and electronic textures. Expect the trademark contrast between clean vocals and harsher parts, delivered with crisp production and a strong sense of song, shaped over albums like Dead by April, Worlds Collide, and the newer chapter leading up to The Affliction.
