Info
Australian Jaimi Faulkner impresses as a composer of exciting yet catchy songs, as a guitarist and a confident singer. With his 'string acrobatics' and a distinctive voice, he wins over the audience right away.
Faulkner performs his music with warmth and a fine sense for grooves bridging Americana, rock, and songwriter soul. Ballads on one side and strong, groove‑driven songs on the other fill the spectrum covered by this modern troubadour from Down Under.
Jaimi was socialized in Melbourne, the music metropolis, where he learned his craft from scratch. Gradually he developed into an excellent guitarist with a penchant for blues, soul, gospel, and classic singer‑songwriter sensibilities. He also honed his skills as a sound engineer, which enables him to record his latest albums solo and to bring his musical visions to life.
On his current album 'Half Of It' Jaimi encapsulates much of what his music has stood for so far: guitar playing, thoughtful lyrics, focused songwriting, and plenty of heart in his voice. With his new band, consisting of Eric Koslosky on bass and Cas Heim on drums, the Australian can stage his songs live to best effect, with captivating instrumentation and multi‑part vocals.
Faulkner has already opened for a string of well‑known artists, including Paul Young, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Chris Isaak, Vonda Shepard, and Tony Joe White. In 2024 he impressed as a special guest at Stefan Stoppok's 'Artgenossen' event.
