Info
Stereo MC’s return to bring their classics and live energy to L’Alhambra in Paris on April 23, 2027. Born in the mid-80s around Rob Birch and Nick Hallam, the Clapham collective has long walked the line between British hip-hop, house, funk, soul and electronic music, with that groove that holds rap and sung refrains together.
At the heart of the set, it’s hard to imagine skipping over “Connected,” a pivotal album released in 1992, and its tracks that have become touchstones between club and live performance, from “Connected” to “Step It Up.” Without getting stuck in nostalgia, Stereo MC’s arrives with what they built afterward: a freer approach, nourished by remixes, long-running records and a DJ culture that has remained central, up to relaunching the spirit of Connected in a house and techno vein. A date to rediscover a compact, danceable, no-nonsense sound.
