Info
Hang Massive lands at O2 Academy Islington in London on May 20, 2027, bringing the duo’s handpan-driven sound into a full-room live setting. Formed in 2010 after a meeting in India between British musician Danny Cudd and Swedish player Markus Johansson (aka Markus Offbeat), the project sits somewhere between ambient, new age and world music, built around gentle pulse, repeating patterns and long, ringing overtones.
On stage, their approach leans more toward texture than traditional songs: two instruments weaving together, motifs slowly shifting, rhythms locking in and then dissolving into resonance. It’s the kind of set that invites you to tune into details, from the soft attack of each note to the way the loops evolve over time. Expect material spanning key releases like Beats For Your Feet, Distant Light and Celestial Colour, shaped by the duo’s stripped-back, contemplative live energy.
