Info
Current Swell will come to Leipzig's Moritzbastei on 20 April 2027, bringing their mix of indie rock, folk, and surf and roots influences to the stage. The band from Victoria on Canada's Pacific coast has, since the mid-2000s, stood for songs that instantly get things moving: acoustic songwriting paired with multi-part harmonies, then tipping into a direct, band-driven sound.
Live, you can expect both: the earlier, more open and melodic tracks as well as the later songs where Current Swell showcase their rockier side. Here the guitars sit closer together, the rhythms bite harder, and between blues-tinged edges and a hint of reggae there remains that clear, catchy drive. An evening for everyone who enjoys toggling between road-trip vibes and a high-energy club show.
