Info
On April 18, 2027, at the Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg, Bruce Cockburn brings his long-running songwriter’s craft to the stage, shaped by decades of moving between folk intimacy and wider, genre-blurring colours. First heard on the Canadian scene in the late ’60s, he’s built a body of work where fingerstyle guitar stays at the core, even as the sound opens up to rock edges, jazzy turns, and hints of global influences.
Expect a set that can shift from quiet, close-up storytelling to sharper, more electric moments, with songs that balance inner reflection and a clear-eyed look at the world outside. Cockburn’s concerts are less about big gestures than about phrasing, detail, and the way his guitar lines carry the mood as much as the lyrics. A night for anyone who likes songwriting that feels lived-in, direct, and still curious.
