Info
On December 12, 2026, Jonathan Roy brings “Deux Voix Une Capitale” to The Bronson in Ottawa, a show built around the direct, intimate songwriting that’s become his signature. The Québécois singer-songwriter moves between pop, folk and soul, leaning on a warm, slightly grainy voice and a taste for organic arrangements that keep things human and close to the bone.
After starting out in French, Roy has carved an independent path that opened up internationally with his English-language records, including Life Distortions (2023). Onstage, those introspective songs land with extra weight: stories about resilience, getting through the noise, and chasing a bit of light without overplaying it. If you’ve heard “Keeping Me Alive” in its live, stripped-back form, you know the vibe—honest melodies, steady groove, and that feeling of someone singing like they mean it, not like they’re selling you something.
