Info
On June 18, 2027, Clinton Fearon makes a stop at Liberté in Rennes with a show conceived as a return to his roots: a tour devoted to the repertoire of The Gladiators, the band in which he served for eighteen years as bassist, singer, and one of its principal songwriters. On stage, he revisits the tracks he co-wrote that left their mark on roots reggae, from 'Chatty Chatty Mouth' to 'Richman Poorman,' including 'On The Other Side,' 'Stick A Bush,' and 'Jah Works.' For the occasion, Fearon broadens his lineup around Riddim Source: brass, percussion, and backing vocalists come to reinforce the groove and recover the vocal harmonies of the original trio, with a more expansive orchestration. There you find his unmistakable signature: melodic bass lines, measured singing, lyrics that tell of everyday life and the spiritual, and this way of moving the riddim forward without ever forcing it.
