Hudson Freeman brings his lo-fi folk world to King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow on March 1, 2027. Raised between suburban Dallas and Eswatini in a family of evangelical missionaries, he writes songs that keep a little distance from that upbringing, turning faith and doubt into something quietly lived-in rather than preached.
Now Brooklyn-based, Freeman sits somewhere between intimate folk, hushed indie rock and home-recorded textures with a deliberately raw edge, nodding to influences like Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver and Pedro the Lion. His recent work keeps circling belief, belonging, fragile friendships and the low-level anxiety of modern life, with melodies that feel close enough to hear the room around them. Expect a set that moves like a conversation: restrained, direct, and full of small details that land when you’re not expecting them, plus special guests to round out the night.
