Info
When Hanne Boel takes the stage in a trio format, it is her voice and the songs' nerve that are allowed to fill the room. For decades she has moved effortlessly between soul, pop, jazz and gospel, and in a pared-down setup the groove-driven roots and the direct vocal interpretation become even more evident. Here there is room for both melodies that lean toward the clarity of pop, and the more R&B-flavored passages, where the rhythm pulls and the phrasing is allowed to breathe. The concert on March 11, 2027 at Borgerforeningen Svendborg Teater invites an evening focused on the interplay: the voice in close dialogue with a few, sharply played instruments. The trio format opens up new angles on the repertoire, more air in the arrangements, and a proximity that makes every line and every chorus a conversation with the audience.
