Depresión Sonora arrives in London on January 15, 2027 to perform at the MOTH Club with its blend of dark post-punk, cold wave, and minimal electronics. The Madrid-based project by Marcos Crespo began in 2020, in the midst of lockdown, and since then has refined a way of singing urban malaise, isolation, and the frictions of daily life without tipping into melodrama: direct phrases in Spanish, dry and catchy melodies, and a mechanical pulse that drives it forward. Live, that universe translates into pronounced basslines, cold rhythms, and lo-fi textures that carve their way between guitars and synths, with contained but insistent energy. Following the self-titled EP, Sad Stories for a Good Night's Sleep and the album The Art of Dying Very Slowly, the most recent phase continues the nerve that MAKINAVAJA embodies: fast, sharp, and danceable songs in its own way, conceived to be sung with a tight chest and the head in motion.
