Info
Dylan John Thomas brings his rough-edged, singalong songwriting to Tramshed Cardiff on 6 December 2026, backed by support. Raised on street corners and shaped by years of busking around Glasgow, he writes with a directness that cuts through: love and regret, faith and fatalism, the push and pull between getting knocked back and finding your people.
A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, he pulls from old-school rhythm and folk storytelling, then flips it into something that feels built for a room full of voices. His recent run has been driven by word of mouth and relentless gigging, turning local shows into full-volume, everybody-knows-the-words moments.
Expect material from his second album Nothing Here Worth Taking, written by Dylan and largely played by him too: banjo, brass, bluesy touches and big choruses designed to land live. Tracks like “Got You on My Mind” show that mix in full swing, folding rolling fingerpicking into a bold, punchy sound that’s become his calling card onstage.
