Cudmas IV takes place at Brudenell Social Club in Leeds on 5 December 2026 at 7h30.
Cud is an indie band from Leeds formed in the late 1980s. Their sound combines pop melodies, rock energy and humor, with guitars, bouncy rhythms and flexible vocals. After a first Peel Session in 1987 and early singles, they released the albums When in Rome, Kill Me in 1989, Elvis Belt and Leggy Mambo in 1990 on Imaginary Records.
In the early 1990s, Cud moved to A&M and released Asquarius in 1992 and Showbiz in 1994, circulating on British indie and alternative scenes. The band split in 1995 and reformed in 2006, then resumed regular touring. With Mike Dunphy’s return in 2012 and the arrival of drummer Gogs Byrn for live shows, Cud has continued to play live and release music, including The Complete BBC Sessions in 2012 and singles such as Louise / Mexico in 2013, Victoria in 2014, Switched On in 2021 and Sorry I Let You Down in 2022.
