On November 5, 2026, Yazmin Lacey brings her London-bred neo-soul to Blue Note London, with a set built around the calm intensity that’s become her signature. Raised in Nottingham and based in London, she moves between soul, jazz, R&B and a touch of spoken word, carried by a low, flexible voice that keeps everything close-up and direct.
Her early EPs Black Moon (2017), When The Sun Dips 90 Degrees (2018) and Morning Matters (2020) sketched out that intimate space: stripped-back arrangements, slow or syncopated grooves, and writing that leans into everyday details, relationships, and emotional shifts without overplaying them. Since Voice Notes (2023), the sound has widened, but the core stays the same: warmth, restraint, and attention to texture. Expect a show where phrasing and rhythm do a lot of the talking, and where the quiet moments hit just as hard as the beats.
