Dexter and The Moonrocks bring their “Friends That I Don’t Like – Canadian Tour” to Grey Eagle in Calgary on February 10, 2027. Born in rural Texas in 2021, the quartet leans into what they call “western space grunge”: big, saturated guitars, tight hooks, and a writing style that nods to both small-town America and the alt-rock energy of the 90s and 2000s. Opening the night, Los Angeles band Return to Dust sets a darker, heavier tone. Formed in 2022, they blend grunge, hard rock, and alternative metal into a direct, riff-forward approach, with thick rhythms and vocals that carry a clear 90s shadow. After the Black Road EP and their 2024 self-titled debut, they’ve kept pushing that line with Speak Like the Dead, built for anyone who likes their rock both melodic and unapologetically weighty.
